Can a painting tell the story of a looming global crisis?

  • American artist Mauro Zamora creates works that focus on human interactions with the landscape, and their cultural significance. Through photographs and uniquely designed imagery, Zamora explores issues related to climate change, the Anthropocene, history, politics, and cultural symbols. Zamora’s practice explores how images and the boundaries of space and national sovereignty are deeply embedded in the creation of value, systems of global economics, and geopolitics.
